If you're seeking a long-term career, not just another tax season, you'll find an opportunity to grow professionally while working directly with clients in a collaborative and supportive environment.This is a full-time, in-office position offering diverse, year-round work with opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and take on increasing responsibility as our firm continues to grow.What You'll DoAs a Senior Accountant, you'll play an important role in providing high-quality service to our clients by:Preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, S corporations, partnerships, estates, and trusts.Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual bookkeeping engagements.Preparing compiled and internally prepared financial statements.Assisting clients with year-round tax planning and compliance.Responding to IRS and state tax notices and correspondence.Representing clients before the IRS when appropriate.Assisting clients with accounting questions and business operations.Working with both QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.Maintaining accurate electronic workpapers and client documentation.Collaborating with team members to ensure exceptional client service.QualificationsRequiredActive Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential.Three to five years of public accounting or professional tax preparation experience.Experience preparing individual and business income tax returns.Experience in performing bookkeeping and preparing financial statements.Strong knowledge of federal and Ohio tax law; and IRS procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.Commitment to providing exceptional client service.PreferredExperience preparing fiduciary (estate and trust) income tax returns.Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.Experience using UltraTax CS or similar professional tax software.Experience with tax planning and client advisory services.Experience with Microsoft Power Point.Payroll tax and payroll processing experience.Compensation & BenefitsStarting salary commensurate with experienceDiscretionary performance bonus.Paid holidays and paid time off.Flexible scheduling when business needs permit.Continuing professional education.Supportive, team-oriented work environment.Opportunity for long-term career growth and increased responsibility.Why Join Nevers Consulting Group?At Nevers Consulting Group, we believe that exceptional client service begins with exceptional people.Unlike firms where employees perform only one function, you'll have the opportunity to develop expertise across tax preparation, accounting, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and client advisory services.
