Warehouse Team LeadWarehouse Team Leader Schedule: 3rd Shift (10:30PM to 7AM) Mon-Fri. Schedule will change after a few weeks to Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat. Pay: $20-25/hourly Assignment dates: August 10th to November 30th (4 Months)Position SummaryThe Warehouse Team Leader oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring inbound and outbound materials are processed accurately and on time. This role supports the Warehouse Manager in coordinating activities to meet operational needs, while leading and training staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and food safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily warehouse material handling activitiesOversee shipping and receiving operations for timely and accurate material flowCoordinate external warehouse materials to support production needsTrain staff on safe equipment operation (forklifts, loading/unloading, trailers)Monitor work areas and correct unsafe behaviors or conditionsHold team members accountable for performance and safety standardsAssign and manage cycle counts and inventory accuracy activitiesPerform inventory reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesMaintain FEFO/FIFO inventory rotation standardsMonitor equipment and submit maintenance requests as neededCreate and manage employee work schedules for coverageCoordinate materials flow including receiving, storage, transfers, and production line supplyLead, coach, train, and develop warehouse team membersCommunicate with operations, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve issuesEnsure effective shift handoffs and communication between teamsPromote urgency and accountability to meet operational goalsMonitor and report performance metrics (safety, quality, efficiency, cost, waste)RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree preferred) 3–5 years of warehouse/receiving/inventory control experience 3–5 years of people management experience Food manufacturing experience preferred Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel; SAP/MRP systems preferred) Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles Must be flexible to work other shifts as needed Ability to work during peak season (extended schedule required, 7 days a week.
