Product Owner

The Product Owner is responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog to align with strategic goals, customer needs, and AI-enabled product opportunities. This role partners closely with Product Managers to translate product strategy into execution and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact healthcare SaaS solutions that enhance user experience, compliance, and intelligent workflow automation.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Backlog ManagementDefine and maintain the product backlog with clear prioritiesPartner with Product Managers to translate product strategy into actionable user stories and prioritized backlog itemsAlign backlog with customer value, compliance needs, and opportunities to embed technology/AI driven capabilities where they improve outcomes and efficiencyAgile Execution & Iterative DevelopmentDrive agile ceremonies and sprint planningCollaborate with engineering and design teams for deliveryEnsure continuous improvement through feedback loopsPartner with development, operations and data teams to shape all features, validate outcomes, and iterate based on user and business impactHealthcare Domain ExpertiseUnderstand healthcare workflows and compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR)Design for interoperability and regulatory alignmentPrioritize features that improve clinical and operational outcomesUnderstand the application of AI in healthcare workflows, including documentation support, decision support, and automation, while considering accuracy, safety, and regulatory implicationsStakeholder Engagement & CommunicationPartner closely with Product Managers to communicate product vision, roadmap priorities, and execution tradeoffs across teamsManage expectations and feedback from internal and external stakeholdersFacilitate alignment between product, engineering, and clinical teamsMaintain tight alignment with cross functional team on goals, release priorities, customer feedback, and evolving business needsData-Driven Decision MakingConduct market and user research to inform product decisionsUse analytics tools to measure feature impact and guide prioritizationApply insights to optimize product performance and user experienceLeverage product, customer, and operational data to identify, prioritize, and measure use cases that improve workflow efficiency, quality, and user outcomesRequired Qualifications:Education & Experience GuidelinesBachelor’s Degree in relevant field2-5 years of relevant work experienceProven experience as a Product Owner in a SaaS environmentFamiliarity with AI/ML-enabled product capabilities, prompt-driven workflows, and responsible AI considerations such as accuracy, transparency, bias, privacy, and human oversightExperience in healthcare SaaS is highly preferred; experience supporting AI-enabled or data-intensive products is a plusTravel up to 30%Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven decision makingUnderstanding of HL7, FHIR, and other healthcare interoperability standardsFortive 9 Behaviors by Level:Executing and ContributingCustomer Obsessed: Understands the customer’s needs through observation, questioning and going to Gemba.Strategic: Uses data to make informed decisions while anticipating future trends and aligning actions with organizational goals.Innovation for Impact: Proactively explores new perspectives and experiments to solve day-to-day problems.Inspiring: Understands how their work contributes to the organization’s purpose.Builds Extraordinary Teams: Actively fosters collaboration by contributing positively, supporting shared goals, helping others succeed, and celebrating team achievements together.Courageous: Shows strength through action—moves quickly toward goals, embraces uncertainty, speaks up, and perseveres through challenges with confidence and integrity.Delivers Results: Sets high standards and consistently delivers by focusing priorities and overcoming obstacles, and upholding organizational values.Adaptable: Applies rigor by working thoroughly and following processes without cutting corners while remaining adaptable.Lead with FBS: Goes to Gemba—observes real-world processes, not just meetings.
