AV Technician III
The AV Technician III is the on-site lead responsible for coordinating crews and completing professional audio-visual installations safely, accurately, and on schedule. Crew and site leadership: Lead day-to-day installation work, including mounting, cable pulling and termination, rack builds, and room completion. Assign work, set the pace, and help the installation team maintain a safe and productive job site. Coordinate with general contractors, other trades, security, facilities, and the client while escalating blockers promptly. Serve as a professional, customer-facing on-site representative of Pixel Technologies. Readiness, quality, and safety: Review statements of work, drawings, and field conditions before installation begins. Confirm device locations, quantities, mounting heights, pathways, power, and data requirements. Enforce PPE, ladder and lift practices, housekeeping, and established quality standards. Verify cable dress, terminations, labels, device placement, and protection of finished work. Schedule, materials, and closeout: Execute the project schedule and communicate daily progress, risks, and resource needs. Confirm kit counts, identify missing parts, and supervise subcontracted installation work when assigned. Maintain redlines, progress photos, completion checklists, and punch-list status. Prepare a clean, powered, connected installation for commissioning and support final physical adjustments.
What helps you succeed: Four or more years of professional AV integration experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to travel nationwide, work in a fast-paced environment, and communicate clearly with customers and project teams. Strong organization, critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, accountability, and solution-focused problem solving. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the physical ability to perform installation work while using required PPE. Dante Level 1, Q-SYS Level 1, Extron AV Associate, Crestron Certified Technician, or AVIXA CTS credentials are valued. Candidates may be asked to obtain CTS certification.
