Accounting Analyst

job summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world's leading technology provider within the entertainment and events industry. They are looking to bring on a Business Analyst with an Accounting background that would be support their Enterprising Resource Planning System by analyzing complex business issues; collaborating with business personnel and information technology team members; designing, developing, testing, delivering, and escalating innovative technology solutions. If you live near the Middletown, Newburgh Bacon area this role could be for you!! Must have Oracle Cloud!!!

This role will be hybrid, minimum 4 days in the office.

responsibilities:

• Experience in working with Oracle Cloud solutions required.
• Experience with system development life cycle required
• Experience in working with Oracle Cloud solutions required
• Expertise in Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Accounts Payable required.
• Global implementation experience required

Essential functions

• Provide technical assistance in identifying and evaluating issues.
• Develop new functional and business requirements for process enhancements, including providing expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing system options, specifications, and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
• Work with users to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures.
• Proactively identify functionality gaps, perform POCs and develop solutions / workarounds.
• Test business and functional processes during ERP system configuration and upgrades.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with existing ERP functionality including logging support cases with the software vendor.
• Assist in design of reports required by users and perform data analysis as needed.
• Skilled in data analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting across systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and guide others to use best business practice solutions within the constraints of the applications capability.
• Understanding of IT & Organizational change management principles to help manage the impact of changes on the business.

 
qualifications:

• Bachelor's in system management or accounting or a related field
• 8+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in working with Oracle Cloud solutions required.
• Experience with system development life cycle required
• Experience in working with Oracle Cloud solutions required
• Expertise in Lease Accounting, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Accounts Payable required.
• Global implementation experience required
• Must have 3 years' experience working on ERP system
