Direct message the job poster from KTeam KTeam - Recruiting | Growth Planning | Organizational Development We’re looking for a Miami-based Associate General Counsel to join a new and fast-growing tech-enabled insurance brokerage that's modernizing how small and mid-sized businesses access and manage insurance—using AI-powered service models to make smarter, faster, and more affordable coverage a reality. The ideal candidate thrives in high-growth environments and brings process-minded thinking to all things legal. This is not a litigation role—it's for a strategic, operational attorney who’s obsessed with clean systems, air-tight contracts, and seamless legal support across departments. You’ll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams (especially Product, Partnerships, Ops, IT, and Compliance) to ensure legal frameworks keep pace with the company’s growth. You’ll help manage foundational legal infrastructure around contracts, compliance, data use, intellectual property, and corporate governance, helping us move fast without breaking things. You’ll work closely with the Chief Legal Officer, gaining exposure to a broad range of legal and business issues, while owning key day-to-day legal processes. Competitive base salary DOE Schedule/commute flexibility Monthly cell phone stipend Two weeks PTO, one week paid sick leave, and 13 paid holidays Reports to the Chief Legal Officer Beautiful, central office location in Brickell area of Miami Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Review, analyze, and negotiate commercial and vendor contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, mitigate legal and business risks, including data privacy, indemnification, limitation of liability, and termination provisions. Product & Compliance Support: Partner with product and engineering teams to support product launches, privacy protocols, and regulatory alignment (especially across insurance and data-related domains). Data & Privacy: Work cross-functionally with technical and compliance teams to support legal analysis and implementation strategies concerning customer data, usage rights, and AI technologies. IP & Brand Protection: Work with product, marketing, compliance, and legal teams to help identify and safeguard intellectual property, supporting strategy and execution around trademarks, copyrights, and patents, including reviewing IP clauses in contracts and assisting with IP workflows. Risk & Insurance: Support internal risk mitigation policies and ensure we’re protected across liability, cyber, and E&O matters. Process Optimization: Support legal and cross-functional teams to design and refine scalable internal workflows, templates, and systems that support a growing legal function..
