CNC Machinist and Programmer

Now Hiring CNC Machinist and Programmer Location: Moraine, OH Pay Rate: $24.00 – $28.00 per hour Schedule: 7:00am-3:30pm

Job Duties

• Set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers, horizontal machining centers, and CNC mills.
• Perform programming using G-code, including program edits
• Change tooling, fixtures, and tools, and perform touch-offs.
• Conduct quality control inspections using micrometers, calipers, and specialty gages.
• Program CAM software, specifically EdgeCAM, and perform job setups.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in machining preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or similar equipment).
• Mazak conversational programming is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, setup sheets, and inspection instructions.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, feeds, speeds, and materials.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, lift, and move materials during the shift (up to 50 lbs).
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a production team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
