Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Licensed Practical Nurse Job Type Full-Time / Non-Exempt Shift Details Monday-Friday / 9:00am-5:00pm Work Location Outpatient - Hybrid / Trillium ACTT Salary/Hourly Wage $28.00 - $30.00/hour Sign-on Bonus $2,000 Specialties / Licenses or Certifications Licensed Practical Nurse Summary of Job The LPN works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. The LPN identifies the need for medical attention and alerts the Physician and/or RN of medical concerns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Guest Care & Advocacy: Provides education regarding diabetic care, psychiatric medication and other medical needs to enhance individual health and wellbeing. Coordinates care including assisting individuals with making medical and/or other provider appointments as needed. Compliance & Risk Management: Assists with intake process. Collects blood or urine specimens and arranges transport to lab as ordered. Monitors care of individuals to include monitoring of medications under the supervision of the RN. Oversees and maintains medication records in accordance with policy and State Regulations. Completes clinical documentation as required. Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies and procedures as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies. Cross Functional Collaboration: Provides support to Medical Assistants and other staff as needed, which includes treatment and discharge planning. Job Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Education / Licenses Graduation from an accredited LPN program. Current and valid LPN license. Experience Minimum of one (1) year of experience working in a behavioral health setting. Thorough comprehension of psychiatric nursing preferred. Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, common side effects, reactions and interactions of medications prescribed. Ability to work with agitated guest in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions. Skills Basic computer skills. Attention to detail. Problem solving. Communication both verbally and in writing. Effective listening skills. Excellent clinical documentation skills. Must be able to pass de‑escalation training, as defined by state requirements. Driving Requirements If driving is required, must meet all requirements outlined in Recovery Innovations driving policy. If not qualified to drive per driving policy, a Non‑Driver Attestation form must be signed. Miscellaneous Requirements Must be at least 18 years old unless residing in a state where funder or government regulations set a different minimum age requirement. Travel required based on business need. Maintain confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism. Complete all requirements of the comprehensive credentialing process if applicable. Second‑Chance Employer: Must be able to pass a seven‑year background check, substance abuse testing and/or tuberculosis testing (if applicable), education verification, fingerprinting clearance as required, and, if driving is required, a three‑year motor vehicle report and meeting minimum eligibility criteria of insurance carrier. Physical Demands May include work close to the eyes and substantial motions of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, handling, finger dexterity, eye‑hand‑foot coordination, use of corrected vision; color vision; use of auditory senses. May be required to lift up to twenty‑five (25) pounds. Work Environment May work in an office environment or behavioral health facility. May have contact with individuals who are agitated and/or confused. Education (States) Graduation from an accredited LPN program. Licensure (States) Current and valid LPN license.
