Pay: $16-$18/hour depending on experience

Job Title: Shipping & Receiving / Delivery Driver

Position Overview


We are seeking a reliable, experienced Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our metal fabrication team. This position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound materials, coordinating freight shipments, and occasionally performing local and regional pickups and deliveries using company trucks, including a Dodge 2500 and Ford F-150 pulling a 40-foot gooseneck flatbed trailer.


The ideal candidate must have experience pulling a gooseneck trailer, backing into tight spaces, and safely loading and unloading heavy materials.

Key Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips
• Unload steel, metal components, and fabrication materials using forklifts
• Prepare, package, and stage outgoing shipments
• Ensure proper labeling and documentation of shipments
• Keep shipping/receiving areas organized and clean

Driving & Deliveries

• Perform local occasional pickups and deliveries
• Operate company vehicles including:
  
  
  • Dodge Ram 2500
  • Ford F-150
  • 40-foot gooseneck flatbed trailer
• Safely secure loads using chains, binders, and straps
• Back trailers into tight job sites and shop yards
• Load and unload materials

Qualifications

• Required: Proven experience pulling a gooseneck trailer (40 ft preferred)
• Experience backing trailers into tight spaces
• Experience loading, unloading, and properly securing heavy steel loads
• Forklift experience (required)
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record

Preferred Experience

• Prior work in metal fabrication, steel supply, or manufacturing

Work Environment

• Industrial fabrication shop setting
• Indoor and outdoor work
• Exposure to steel, machinery, and shop equipment
• Occasional overtime as needed
