Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)Inova Loudoun Ambulatory Surgery Center is currently hiring a Full-Time, seasoned Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to become an integral member of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. This position is day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare.Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Circulates and assists in GI procedures, i.e. EGD, colonoscopy, etc.Provides communication between team members within the endoscopy suite and outside the endoscopy suite.Informs the OR Nurse Manager of case progress and reports and unusual circumstances.Arranges room for specific GI procedure.Verifies proper function of necessary equipment.Assures that adequate supplies are available per procedure.Verifies operative consent for correct patient, procedure & physician. Ensures all documentation is signed, dated and timed. Verifies chart has complete and updated history & physical.Assists in patient transport to and from the GI room.May assist anesthesia provider during induction & during other crucial periods.Assists with decontamination of equipment and instruments using detergents and disinfectant solutions.Qualifications:Minimum of one-year procedural experience in endoscopy/gastroenterologyCirculating/Scrub experience is highly desiredStrong understanding of endoscopic equipment, patient monitoring, and sedation protocolsCurrent licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or possession of an active multi-state Registered Nurse licenseBasic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon startAdvanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (based on facility)Must be willing to float to Operating Room as needed (applicable to candidates with OR nursing experience)Strong oral and written communication skillsExceptional patient communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a teamBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision CoverageLife & Disability CoverageFlexible Spending Accounts401(k) retirement plan with a company matchGenerous PTO and Holiday PayTuition ReimbursementStudent Loan Repayment Assistance Program
