RN - Med Surg

Med/Surg Tele RN

This position offers a night shift schedule comprising three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The contract spans 18 weeks and requires a minimum of 12 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.

Job Requirements

• Active Permanent Ohio nursing license or a compact state license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of combined permanent experience in the specialty is required, preferably within one location.
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is necessary for submission.
• Active certifications should be in hand at the time of submission.

Additional Requirements

• Background checks will be conducted; candidates with an open case will not be considered.
• Nicotine-free requirements apply to all travelers except for nurses and CSTs, which may be temporarily exempt.
• A negative 10-panel drug screen, including nicotine, is required within 12 months prior to the start date.
• All candidates must complete BCI/FBI fingerprints within 48 hours of signing the contract.

Work Schedule and Environment

The role involves working in a supportive and collaborative environment with interdisciplinary team assistance. Candidates should be prepared to engage with diverse patient populations and manage complex patient care needs.

Orientation and Training

• Participants will undergo orientation and must complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during this time.
• Annual training modules will be required, and up to 4 hours of these will be billable.
