Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Full-time position located near Wichita, Kansas. Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with medical and surgical conditions in an acute care setting. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes and supports patient recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to providers.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and ancillary staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, discharge planning, and recovery.
• Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and interdisciplinary team meetings.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Kansas.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• ACLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within required timeframe.
• Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
