Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for patients ranging from children to seniors, utilizing standardized assessments and observational strategies.
• Design individualized treatment plans that target immediate goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on communication, language skills, fluency, voice, and swallowing difficulties.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, family members, and caregivers to devise effective care strategies.
• Provide educational resources for patients and families, promoting progress during and beyond your clinical sessions.
• Incorporate occasional inpatient evaluations and speech therapy interventions, ensuring a cohesive continuum of care throughout the entire treatment process.
• Ensure precise documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Commit to professional development by staying informed on the latest advances in the field through educational opportunities and peer collaboration.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is not yet achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.
