Exercise Physiologist 2 Pulmonary Diagnostics

• 
  Develops exercise prescription and risk factor modification by incorporating comorbidities and musculoskeletal disorders, per established program (ACCVPR, ACSM, ATS, ACC, NASM) standards and guidelines, as evidenced by random chart review.
  
• 
  Develops Individual Treatment Plans through physical assessment and testing to include exercise and strength training programs, patient education, and behavioral health support specific to each patient to achieve optimal outcomes.
  
• 
  Administers or supports diagnostic testing for patients.
  
• 
  Demonstrates proper instruction and technique for performing appropriate exercise and strength training as needed to ensure patient safety and adherence to exercise prescription, as evidenced by direct observation.
  
• 
  Immediately reports significant changes in patient clinical status to appropriate members of the healthcare team and assists with emergency care according to department policy, as evidenced by direct observation.
  
• 
  Provides validation of clinical decisions for other team members.
  
• 
  Supports and engages in clinical outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.
  
• 
  Utilizes standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery. Determines process for delivery of care from direct patient and family communication, technology, and other healthcare team member collaboration.
  
• 
  May perform additional duties as assigned.
  

• Education : Bachelor's Degree Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or Kinesiology
• Experience : Relevant clinical experience in a hospital, clinical setting or clinical internship completed through education coursework
• 
  Certifications : BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire;
  American College of Sports Medicine - Certified Exercise Physiologist (ACSM CEP) for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab upon start OR ; American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation - Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (AACVPR CCRP) for Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab upon start
