About the Position

Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 Years Preferred; Consideration for 1.5 Years License: Valid State License Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP Must-Have: - AWHONN Certification - Ability to Perform Sterile Vaginal Exams Independently - Epic Experience - Willingness to Work Weekends Description: Labor and Delivery registered nursing position available in an acute care hospital. Candidates must have expert experience in performing sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision. Strong experience in triage is required. Scheduling preferences can be considered but are not guaranteed. Candidates must be flexible and open to working weekends, likely exceeding the every other weekend requirement to meet unit needs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:2. Candidates should have experience in high-risk deliveries and antepartum care. Interaction with interdisciplinary teams is essential for optimal patient care. Daily patient census includes neonates, adolescents, and adults. Average of 6-8 deliveries per day in a high-demand environment. Candidates will be expected to float to similar units as needed. Completion of required training modules is mandatory. Candidates must maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures. References covering prior nursing experience will be required for consideration. All travelers must have the ability to adapt to varying environments and patient populations.
