Patient Intake Specialist

Duties/Responsibilities Greets visitors, ascertains purpose of visit, and directs them to appropriate staff. Closely watch appointment schedule and times of patient exams. Provide calm demeanor when working with patients at the front desk. Obtain patient demographic and insurance information, and accurately enter into the information system. Communicate with other departments and schedule appointments as necessary. Answers telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff. Process and organize incoming orders and medical information. Collect patient payments when necessary. Required Skills/Abilities Organization Education and Experience Two years' experience working in the medical field (preferred) High school diploma or GED required. EPIC experience preferred. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. #J-18808-Ljbffr Salem-Radiology-Consultants
