Job Title: Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Rehab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty License: Registered Nurse, state or compact license Certifications: AHA BLS or Red Cross Must-Have: - Associate degree in nursing - 2 years of experience; however, 18 months will be considered if working under the highest level of professional license Description: This position requires the ability to work holidays as required. Every other weekend is mandatory. Candidates must be willing to float to other units and hospitals. 36 or 48 hours per week will be accepted. The role involves understanding the patient’s journey after their acute hospital stay. There is a focus on helping patients with stroke, hip fractures, or pulmonary conditions meet their goals for improved functionality and independence. Join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team in rehabilitation care. Patients continue to receive hospital care and close medical supervision while participating in rehab. Every patient receives 24-hour medical monitoring and care from a team of healthcare professionals. Providers round daily throughout the patient's stay. Recovery is supported by the latest therapy equipment. This includes body weight support systems, treadmills for maximum repetitions, and specialized machines to improve reaction times and visual processing. Additionally, simulation vehicles are provided to practice safely getting in and out of a vehicle for the journey home.
