The Dental Assistant plays a vital role in supporting dental professionals by preparing patients, ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of instruments, and providing direct chairside assistance during dental procedures. This position involves a balanced level of patient interaction, combining both assisting dentists and educating patients. The role is typically situated within various settings such as small private practices, specialized dental offices, large dental clinics, or mobile dental units. Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for dental procedures
Sterilize and organize dental instruments
Perform dental radiography as needed
Provide chairside assistance to dentists
Maintain accurate patient records
Manage appointment scheduling
Oversee inventory of dental supplies
Educate patients on oral hygiene and care
Implement infection control protocols
Ensure proper maintenance of dental equipment
