Electromechanical Assembler

Location: Houston, TX 77040
Pay: $21.00–$25.00/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Day Shift | Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electromechanical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team in Northwest Houston. This position is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and inspecting precision electromechanical equipment while ensuring all products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in producing high-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electromechanical systems, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings and work instructions
• Install wiring, harnesses, connectors, switches, sensors, and other electronic components
• Perform cable preparation, crimping, soldering, and connector termination
• Conduct functional testing, inspections, and basic troubleshooting
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to resolve assembly issues
• Follow all safety procedures, ESD requirements, and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience with electromechanical assembly or manufacturing preferred
• Experience with wiring, cable assembly, crimping, and soldering
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and measuring equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or a related field
• Forklift certification is a plus
• Experience working in an electronics or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with ISO quality standards and Lean Manufacturing principles
