Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift (7P-7A) travel assignment requiring at least 1 year of experience and a prior completed travel assignment.

Details

• Medical Surgical Combination unit within a 205-licensed-bed hospital
• 48-bed unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Rare floating possible to inpatient rehab or ER for tasking only
• Uses Paragon EHR

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience with at least 1 completed travel assignment required
• Must be able to start IVs, insert foley catheters, and insert NG tubes
• Experience performing EKGs and managing heparin drips required
• Experience with high patient turnover in a 1:6 ratio setting preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys licensure verification required at time of consideration
• Copies of required certifications must be provided

• Facility is Joint Commission accredited with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
• Hospital houses the region's largest and most comprehensive ED plus a free-standing ED
• Facility features the largest and most advanced ICU and PCU in the region
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for travel rate consideration
• Previous perm staff employment at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months is not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time during the assignment
