CNC Machine operator

CNC Machine OperatorAlsip, ILAs a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision parts and components. In addition to daily production execution, you will run independent setups, troubleshoot minor technical issues during production, perform preventative maintenance, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities & Operational DutiesMachine Operation & Independent Setups: Run independent setups, changeover, adjust, and calibrate machinery. Load and execute prescribed CNC programs while demonstrating a strong understanding of program sequences and related tools.Troubleshooting & Technical Support: Identify, troubleshoot, and repair minor operational issues during production. Request or direct technical problem-solving support when needed.Process Optimization & Data Usage: Select and utilize cutting tools and parameters to conform to process specifications. Collect and analyze operational data to inform process modifications and solution design.Shop Math & Engineering Drawings: Apply shop math effectively to evaluate part quality. Make actionable recommendations for changes to technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).Continuous Improvement & Root Cause Analysis: Participate in 5Why structured problem solving, contribute to countermeasure implementation, and verify execution results.Tooling Management: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive tooling lists. Identify and participate in tooling optimization opportunities.Preventative Maintenance (PM): Partner with the maintenance department to conduct routine preventative maintenance tasks on assigned machines.Training & Standard Work: Support training expectations for setup and production execution where Standard Work documentation exists.Skills and ExperienceMust have 2 years machining experience or education equivalent in related field.Ability to set-up and operate CNC machining work centers.Experience in making tool changes and making in process offset changes.High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.Capable of reading and following standard work.Can use metrology equipment effectively.Experienced in blueprint reading with good GD & T understanding.Working knowledge of CNC (mills/lathes) and CNC controls i.e., Fanuc, Siemens, Okuma, etc.Basic math and PC skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMust possess critical thinking/problem solving capabilities.Ability to work with minimum supervision and work well with others.Excellent past work record (performance, attendance, and attitude)Trade school certification in related field preferredAbility to speak and read English.BenefitsDon't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Weekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount program
