Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Location: Newport News, VA Area Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts Pay: $47.00–$51.00 per hour Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 We are hiring full-time Registered Nurses to provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced hospital Emergency Department operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Available Shifts Day: 6:45 a.m.–6:45 p.m. — $47.00/hour Swing: Start time may vary between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. — $47.00/hour Night: 6:45 p.m.–6:45 a.m. — $51.00/hour Shift times may change based on staffing and operational needs. Benefits $2,000 sign-on bonus 80 hours of paid vacation Seven paid sick days 11 paid holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life, short-term, and long-term disability insurance Health Savings Account options Matching 401(k) $500 continuing education allowance License and certification reimbursement Responsibilities Assess patients and obtain health histories Coordinate emergency care with physicians and other healthcare professionals Administer medications, wound care, and other nursing treatments Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond quickly to emergencies Provide patient education, counseling, and health-promotion services Assign and supervise care based on staff qualifications and scope of practice Maintain accurate patient documentation Coordinate referrals and specialty care when appropriate Follow all clinical policies, procedures, and standards of care Minimum Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE- or ACEN-accredited program At least one year of RN experience within the past two years Current, active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license Current American Heart Association BLS certification Ability to pass a government background investigation #J-18808-Ljbffr
