Position: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Targeted Start Date: 11/16 or 11/30

Job Description

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a medical setting, specifically within an OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field and must possess the appropriate certifications.

Schedule

Shift: Day; 5x8-Hour (08:15 AM - 04:45 PM)

Days: Monday through Friday

Weekend Requirements: None

On-Call Requirements: None

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 2 years, specifically in OB/GYN
Certifications:
- Certification from one of the following: AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required Skills:
- Administering Medication
- Height and Weight Measurements
- Immunizations
- Intramuscular Injections
- Obtaining Vital Signs
- Pap Smears
- Pulse Oximetry
- Recording Patient History, Medications, and Allergies
- Suture Removal
- Experience in a Private Physician's Office
- Ambulatory Experience

Key Responsibilities

Assist with patient exams and procedures, including setup and chaperoning for ultrasounds.
Process instruments and maintain cleanliness in medical areas.
Manage patient records and documentation, using Epic charting system.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
Support the interdisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive care.
Average patient assignment volume is 22-25 patients per day.

Additional Requirements

Flu vaccines are mandatory, and no exemptions or declinations will be accepted.
