Dental Insurance CoordinatorFamily Dental Group is seeking an experienced Dental Insurance Coordinator to join our team in Flint, MI. This role is ideal for someone with strong knowledge of dental insurance, claims processing, and accounts receivable who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient service and supporting practice operations.The Insurance Coordinator will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, submitting and tracking claims, following up on outstanding insurance balances, resolving claim issues, and assisting patients with understanding their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to communicate effectively with patients, insurance carriers, and team members.Join our team and play a vital role in helping patients maximize their insurance benefits while ensuring a seamless financial experience and contributing to the overall success of the practice.What we offer:Pay: $18.00-$24.00 per hourFull-time Schedule: Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm Friday 8am to 4pmHealth, dental, and vision insurance (individual and family coverage)Life insurance and disability benefits401(k) planTeam-oriented work environment with access to modern dental technologyResponsibilities:Verify patient dental insurance eligibility and benefitsSubmit, track, and follow up on dental insurance claimsReview and resolve claim denials, rejections, and outstanding balancesMaintain and manage insurance aging reports and accounts receivableCommunicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status and benefit questionsAccurately document insurance information and updates in patient recordsExplain insurance benefits, estimates, and financial responsibilities to patientsCoordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure accurate claim submissionPost insurance payments and adjustments to patient accountsProvide exceptional customer service while assisting patients with insurance-related inquiriesQualifications:Previous experience working in dental insurance coordination, billing, claims processing, or accounts receivable requiredStrong knowledge of dental procedures, CDT coding, and insurance claims processingExperience working with PPO and HMO dental insurance plans preferredAbility to research and resolve insurance claim issues efficientlyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with dental practice management software preferredMust have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance companies, and team membersLegal Disclaimer: We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
