Community Assistant

About the Role
As a Community Assistant, you'll help create an exceptional resident experience by providing outstanding service, coordinating community events, and supporting day-to-day operations. This role blends customer service, administration, and creativity - perfect for someone who enjoys working with people and building community spirit.
You'll work closely with the Community Director and property team to keep things running smoothly, ensure resident satisfaction, and help make your property a great place to live.

What You'll Do
Resident Relations
• Greet residents and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
• Address resident inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and respectfully.
• Follow up to ensure resident needs are met and satisfaction remains high.
Administrative Support
• Assist with leasing activities, including tours, applications, and lease preparation.
• Maintain accurate resident records, move-in/move-out documentation, and rent payments.
• Help manage phone calls, emails, and scheduling.
• Support the upkeep of property appearance, common areas, and amenities.
Community Engagement
• Plan and organize resident events and activities that build community connection.
• Coordinate with vendors and partners for event logistics.
• Promote events through flyers, newsletters, and social media.
• Gather resident feedback to improve engagement efforts.
Marketing and Outreach
• Assist with marketing campaigns, online listings, and social media updates.
• Conduct market research and help identify opportunities to enhance property visibility.
• Participate in local outreach to promote the community and attract prospective residents.

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the property for extended periods while performing marketing, outreach, and administrative duties.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds, including event materials, supplies, and other small items.
• Ability to climb stairs and access all areas of the community as needed.
• Ability to frequently use a computer and phone for communication, data entry, and administrative tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in person, by phone, and in writing with residents, vendors, and team members.

What You Bring
• Previous customer service experience (property management or hospitality preferred).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi is a plus.
• Experience creating or supporting social media content and basic digital marketing efforts (e.g., posting, engagement, promotions).
• Familiarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) and comfort using them in a professional setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
