Electrical Assembler

Electrical AssemblerExciting opportunity at The Steelastic Company to grow your career in electrical assembly while working alongside experienced professionals in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for timely and accurate assembly of assigned product(s), troubleshooting and repairing of electrical assemblies and systems that meet current configuration as defined by engineering. Work includes production, refurbished components, testing, engineering prototype support, and building maintenance.Minimum Essential Requirements:Independently assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems per manufacturing drawings, Bill of Materials, schematics, and instructionsPanel/cabinet layout and fabricationUnderstanding of reading machine electrical wiring schematicsWorking knowledge of wiring panels per schematicsWorking knowledge of system wiring of subassemblies to main electrical cabinetPerform required repairs to return assembly to operational stateProficiently operate hand tools and small power tools and understand their use and functionInspect all work before passing it on to the next operationKeep supervisor informed of all potential issues for quick resolutionProvide support to the production supervisor on all production assignments, and work with other departments regarding special work assignmentsProficiently test assemblies to meet required design specifications as requiredTroubleshoot assemblies down to component level to determine root cause of failure and recommend corrective action as requiredConduct cycle countsAdhere to all safety policies and guidelinesMust own basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, hammers, screw drivers, pliers, wire strippers, crimpers, etc.) and keep tools at workOther tasks as assignedPreferred Key Requirements:Must have experience using the following equipment: Voltmeter, hand tools, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills and other tools as required by assigned workThorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposesKnowledge of 110V, 230V, 480V, and 24V DCExperience assembling capital equipmentExperience in the tire and rubber industry is a plusAbility to interpret assembly instructions, work orders, engineering drawings/models, etc. to enable production of parts consistent with current engineering configurationAssist in creating work instructions for future useExcellent problem-solving skills, strong digital and analog skills, ability to troubleshoot in a logical mannerFlexibility with customers' changing requirements, available to work overtime as needed, including weekendsExperience and Education:Experience: 1-7 years' experience in an electrical machine building field, preferably in a manufacturing environmentEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent; or relevant job-specific experienceCommunication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal communicationTechnology: Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)Position will require daily utilization of Microsoft Teams, D365, and Microsoft Office SuiteTravel Requirements: None required/ There can be occasional requests for service help from the shop floorSupervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesWork Environment & Culture: The work environment (physical requirements) is described below, and the company culture is dedicated to fostering a very strong environmental health and safety program.
