Project Manager -Structural Steel, Pottstown, PA Pottstown, PA Area | Full-Time | Day Shift / Office Hours Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per year About the Opportunity A growing structural steel and metal fabrication company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee projects from contract award through successful installation. This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination between customers, detailers, production teams, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Schedule Full-time Monday-Friday Day shift / standard office hours Occasional travel to jobsites as needed Compensation & Benefits $80,000 - $100,000 annual salary, based on experience Paid time off Health benefits (if applicable) Professional, team-oriented work environment Growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization Key Responsibilities Project Management & Customer Coordination Manage projects from award through final installation Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle Coordinate communication between customers, field personnel, production teams, subcontractors, and vendors Monitor project schedules, timelines, and deliverables Drawing & Detailing Management Coordinate and assign detailing services Review shop drawings prior to submission for accuracy and completeness Manage drawing revisions and approvals Identify potential cost impacts and coordinate changes with customers Maintain organized project documentation and drawing files Field Coordination Coordinate shipping schedules with production and field personnel Arrange equipment rentals and jobsite resources Support field crews with project-related needs Perform site visits to monitor progress and address customer concerns Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure successful project completion Production Coordination Work closely with production leadership on project scheduling Prepare sequencing plans and shipping/load lists Ensure fabrication teams receive all required information before production startsCommunicate project readiness and scheduling updates Reporting & Tracking Update project management systems and status reports Track drawing statuses, deliveries, and project milestones Participate in weekly project review meetings Maintain accurate project records and documentation Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent Experience in the structural steel construction industry Project management experience within construction, steel fabrication, or a related industry Experience coordinating subcontractors and vendors Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication drawings Experience performing material takeoffs and managing change orders Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Preferred Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Experience with structural steel fabrication and erection projects Knowledge of project scheduling and production planning Skills & Abilities Ability to interpret trade blueprints and shop drawings Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Attention to detail and accuracy Strong customer service and relationship-building skills Working knowledge of construction project coordination processes Mathematical aptitude, including working with measurements and fractions Work Environment Primarily office-based with periodic jobsite visits Exposure to fabrication shop environments and construction sites Ability to sit for extended periods and utilize standard office equipment Occasional travel to project locations and customer sites PeopleShare provides equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic disposition, neurodiversity, disability, veteran status, or any other protected category or class under federal, state, and/or local laws.
