In this role, you’ll help us shape the future and improve lives for billions of people around the world.It starts with YOU.As the Senior Scientist-Projects, you will lead Research and Development (R&D) projects specific to Depend Innovation programs for Kimberly-Clark North America. As a member of the R&D Team, this individual will collaboratively lead projects through the Innovation Management Framework, building from consumer insights to product design and market launch. This role will work in conjunction with Product Team Members and cross-functional partners from Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing to execute projects. The incumbent reports to an R&D Sr. Manager and receives work direction from the Manager and Technical Strategist. This role will give work direction, coaching, and mentoring to 3-10 indirect team members.About You In one of our R&D roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. Job responsibilities include:Lead cross-functional R&D team to deliver upon project goals. Work with Project Team to identify and drive learning plans, manage project timeline and budget, and drive adherence to key dates/deliverables to ensure project is on-track. Work with cross-functional partners to deliver programs with strong business cases though the Innovation Management Framework.Works closely with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance teams, among others, to achieve project goals; significant influence without authority required.Provide work direction, coach, and mentor members of the cross-discipline R&E team.Ensure all work complies with Corporate Safety, Regulatory, Product Safety, and Quality requirements.Interface effectively with the other work stream teams to ensure business success.To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university5 years or more of experience in project management and/or product developmentProven track record of effectively communicating to and influencing leaders and team members across all levels of the R&D and cross-functional organizationPrior experience leading projects from idea to executionDemonstrated ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship15-25% travelPreferred (not essential, but desired):Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science related fieldPrefer 7 years or more of relevant experienceExperience in project management/product development, particularly Development & Commercialization (D&C)Work experience across a range of Research & Engineering or Marketing disciplinesStrong understanding of Adult Care products, brands, business, and technologiesStrong mentoring skillsFinancial acumenLed by Purpose. Along with base pay, this position offers eligibility for a target bonus and a comprehensive benefits suite, including our 401(k) and Profit Sharing plan. The anticipated base pay range for this role is provided above for a fully qualified hire. Actual pay will depend on several factors, such as location, role, skills, performance, and experience.
