Job Posting Information Working Title: Building Supervisor Posting Number: PG195092SP Salary Range: $48,000 - $52,000 Location: Raleigh, NC Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 11:00am-7:30pm; schedule subject to change based on business needs and building hours. Department: NC State Student Centers Responsibilities Under the supervision of the NC State Student Centers Associate Director for Building Services, the primary purpose of this position is to support, maintain, and facilitate a robust day‑to‑day program for student union management with an emphasis on safety, student development, and success. This role provides leadership to ensure the mission of the student centers is met and adapts to the changing needs of the student body and campus. Lead the building manager and information desk teams, including training, supervising, and scheduling both student and temp building managers with a focus on the student and visitor experience. Assist in daily management of the student unions, including but not limited to furniture, equipment, loading dock, logistics, safety, crowd management, and customer service. Serve as a point of contact and support for Building Managers and the Information Desk and collaborate with Event Operations teams. Work closely with the Loading Dock Supervisor and Building Services Technicians to assist in planning student support and scheduling dock logistics and furniture cleaning/repair. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and work with the Associate Director to determine and implement a furniture upgrade and repair schedule. Serve as a mandatory employee for adverse weather and emergencies and be a key contact for those events, including after hours and onsite. Other Responsibilities Model the Division’s mission and values and foster a positive, cohesive workplace and congeniality among co‑workers. Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees’ work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Assist the NC State Student Centers Leadership Team with special projects and other duties as assigned. State vehicle furnished to drive to events or other Campus Enterprises locations. Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in student unions, student development, student affairs, or other student‑related field in a college or university setting. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Required License or Certification Valid driver’s license required. Valid NCDL within 60 days of hire, and must be maintained.
