Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Field Technician (Entry Level)

Braun Intertec is seeking Entry-Level Construction Materials Testing Technicians to join our Bloomington, MN or White Bear Lake, MN offices. No experience required – we will train. As a technician, you will learn to perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. On‑site materials testing is conducted on various commercial and transportation construction projects. Responsibilities Perform field density tests of soils. Conduct field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and strength. Prepare daily reports. Work with project managers, senior technicians, or staff to ensure specifications are followed. Perform routine sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Assist with more complex testing tasks as required. Ideal Candidate A strong safety focus and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts. Flexibility to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Related work experience in materials testing or construction is a plus. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to lift 50-75+ pounds. All Candidates Must Have A high school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the last three years. Proof of ability to lift 50-75+ pounds.
