Office Specialist
$18 - $21 per hourEverStaff
Job Description We are searching for an Office Specialist for our client in Akron. You will be responsible for supporting daily operations across administrative, logistics, customer service, inventory, and accounting functions. Position Details:
- Pay: $18-$21
- In office
- Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm (additional hours may be required based on workload, including occasional Saturdays)
- Direct Hire Opportunity
- Manage front office operations including phone calls, visitor reception, and internal communications
- Provide customer service and maintain positive communication with clients and vendors
- Perform data entry, recordkeeping, and maintain organized filing systems
- Process sales orders, purchase orders, and expedite orders to meet deadlines
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment, and assist with inventory counts
- Prepare shipping documents, coordinate shipments, and track deliveries
- Handle Accounts Payable functions including invoice processing, verification, and payments
- Manage Accounts Receivable including invoicing, payment posting, collections, and account reconciliation
- Maintain compliance records (OSHA, SDS) and employee documentation (new hires, attendance)
- Support general office operations, reporting, housekeeping, and special projects as needed
- Proficiency in company software systems
- Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
- Typing speed of approximately 25-50 WPM
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and think critically in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication in English (high school level or higher)
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
- General understanding of business operations and administrative processes
- Ability to work in both office and warehouse settings
- Willingness to work a minimum of 40 hours per week (not guaranteed)
