Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler is seeking a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification and Arkansas licensure for a 13-week evening shift contract in a Level I Trauma Center's Radiation Oncology Clinic specializing in proton therapy and CNS radiation oncology.

Job Details

• Radiation Oncology Clinic setting within a Level I Trauma Center and academic medical center,
• CNS Radiation Oncology unit specializing in proton radiation therapy,
• Patient population spans all ages (0-99+),
• Facility includes 6 clinical rooms, 1 CT scanner, and 3 therapy vaults,
• Unit-specific procedures include Cardiac Device Interrogations, Endoscopy, HDR, and Brachytherapy,
• Equipment includes Interrogator for Cardiac Devices, Endoscopes, and Procedural Instruments for GYN procedures,
• Epic EMR in use,
• Evening shift: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM, with possible variation to 12:30 PM-9:00 PM depending on patient volume and needs,
• 40 hours per week,
• No call or weekend requirements,
• No float requirement,

Job Requirements

• Active Arkansas (AR) Radiation Therapist license required if applicable,
• Current ARRT certification required,
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required,
• Minimum of 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required; 2+ years preferred,
• Previous travel experience is not required,
• Candidates must reside 100+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

Additional Information

• Perform proton radiation therapy treatments and CNS oncology procedures in a high-acuity academic medical center environment,
• Conduct unit-specific procedures including Cardiac Device Interrogations, Endoscopy, HDR, and Brachytherapy,
• Orientation is 5 days,
• Royal blue scrubs required,
• Local candidates are not accepted; applicants must live 100+ miles from the facility,
• COVID vaccination is not required
