Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a combination of medical and surgical patients including those with CHF, COPD, UTI, cellulitis, sepsis, amputations, decubitus ulcers, and general surgical diagnoses
• Administer IV fluid and antibiotic therapies, manage heparin drips, and perform wound care including wound vacs
• Conduct strong medical and post-surgical assessments, including management of patients with confusion, behavioral health concerns, and CIWA protocols
• Perform basic telemetry monitoring as part of patient care responsibilities
• Float within skillset to alternate campuses with a minimum of 2 hours notice; mid-shift float within the same campus may also occur
• Fulfill weekend and holiday commitments: three weekends per six-week schedule and every other holiday; may be required to precept students and new hires at this teaching facility

Required Qualifications

• Current active RN Compact License required
• AHA BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum of two years of strong Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Recent Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 40 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CIWA protocol management and behavioral health patient populations
• Familiarity with wound vac therapy and complex wound care
• Adaptability to change and demonstrated resilience in fast-paced unit environments
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills in a collaborative unit culture
