Job Summary: As an Entry-Level Assistant Manager at QuikTrip, you'll play a hands-on role in supporting store operations and helping your team succeed. From delivering excellent customer service to reinforcing operational standards, you'll be part of the team that keeps things running smoothly and creates a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door. Under the guidance of the Store Manager and in coordination with other Assistant Managers, you will promote teamwork, uphold company policies, and support a respectful, inclusive, and customer-focused environment. You'll also help train and develop clerks on your shift, contributing to a consistent, high-performing team culture through hands-on leadership and a commitment to growth. In this role, you'll demonstrate key strengths like Customer Engagement, Operational Execution, and Teamwork - all in alignment with QuikTrip's Purpose, Core Values, and Standards of Store Operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Customer Service - Own the customer experience by anticipating needs, solving problems, and consistently representing company standards.
• Employee Support / Teamwork - Own team outcomes by mentoring peers, resolving conflicts constructively, and modeling professional behavior.
• Store Appearance - Own the customer-facing environment by proactively addressing appearance issues and guiding peers in daily upkeep.
• Food Service and Food Safety - Own food quality by proactively checking standards, correcting issues, and ensuring customers receive safe, consistent products.
• Merchandising - Own product presentation by optimizing layouts, identifying gaps, and ensuring merchandising aligns with customer demand.
• Shift Management - Own shift performance by anticipating needs, solving problems, and helping coordinate cross-shift efforts to meet customer demand.
• Business Operations - Own operational standards by monitoring task execution, resolving issues, and ensuring reporting and inventory processes are followed.

Qualifications:

Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Desired Experience: Retail store sales experience

Desired Skills: Pleasant disposition; patience to deal with difficult situations; self-motivated, and the ability to work unsupervised. Must be able to communicate in English, verbally and in writing, with customers, vendors, and employees.

Schedule / Work / Travel:

Work Pattern: Shift work; may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays (essential personnel during weather/events).

Physical / Environment: Requires standing for extended periods and routine walking. Requires lifting up to 30-60 lbs May work in cold/freezer areas or outdoors at times.
