Fund Development Manager (Nonprofit)

Job Description

GPAC is partnering with a well-established, equity- and opportunity-focused nonprofit organization located in Lower Manhattan to identify their next Fund Development Manager .


The organization has a mission aimed at helping students from historically under-represented communities achieve post-secondary educational success .


This is a Fundraising Generalist role that is Full Time and On-site and seeking candidates with the following qualities :

Position Summary


The Fund Development Manager will help the organization execute successful fundraising campaigns and relationship building opportunities with donors, corporations and foundations in the New York metro area and beyond.


Job Responsibilities

• Drive, plan and execute an ongoing fundraising strategy by mobilizing a base of supporters
• Lead the implementation of creative marketing and fund development campaigns that cultivate a community of giving
• Create a donor retention culture and work closely with leadership team and associated departments in managing all stewardship and cultivation activities
• Embrace a data-driven fundraising and engagement culture which includes utilizing the organization’s database / CRM platform
• Liaise with the finance and administrative teams to ensure all funds raised are stewarded appropriately
• Collaborate internally with marketing team to develop and disseminate all fundraising collateral, such as thank you letters, annual reports, appeals, etc.

Role Requirements

• Must embrace the organization's mission
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills
• Have knowledge and experience in communications and fund raising techniques
• Be organized and exhibit “follow through” on tasks and goals
• Success in developing and managing successful fundraising campaigns from concept to delivery
• Experience using fund development databases / Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform(s)
• Preferred: Experience in educational, cultural institution/museum or social justice focused organizations
