Job Description

Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Experience in telemetry or step-down units preferred
• Strong understanding of the nursing process, patient assessments, and care coordination
• Ability to supervise, mentor, and direct multiple levels of nursing staff
• Proficiency in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Excellent critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications, or the ability to obtain prior to start

Schedule:

• Contract position; schedule details will be discussed during the interview process

Position Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care according to established protocols for telemetry patients or assigned groups
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry data, recognizing and acting on any changes in patient condition
• Supervise the daily activities of assigned nursing and ancillary staff, ensuring compliance with policies and best practices
• Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care
• Utilize critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and professional discretion in complex and fast-paced situations
• Document all aspects of patient care promptly and accurately within the electronic medical record
• Participate in unit activities that promote safety, quality improvement, and professional development
