Building Engineer

Full-time, year round position for Jordan High School. Position will work from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Provide a clean, safe and positive environment for students, staff and the public.

Salary range: $21.29 - $29.51, depending upon experience. Benefit package includes: medical insurance, dental insurance, HSA&VEBA, flexible spending & dependent care, accidental injury & critical illness life insurance, short & long term disability, paid time off, PERA retirement plan (Public Employee Retirement Association) with a 7.5% district contribution, 403(B) plan.

Reports to: Director of Community Education & Recreation and Operations.

Qualifications: Education/Experience/Skills: Minimum of a high school degree. Post high school engineering degree earned (2 year) or equivalent experience preferred. Possess State of MN license applicable to the boiler capacity for all district buildings with other site specific licensure as needed. Experience working with school district maintenance procedures, methods and policies and the ability to properly instruct and oversee subordinates. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and appropriate dress and appearance. Personal attributes necessary for working within a team setting and creating an inviting and welcoming environment. Knowledge of computer programs and willingness to learn specific systems used within the district (ex: electronic maintenance request system). Detail oriented.

Physical requirements: Must be able to work in confined areas (ie: boiler room). Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds with no physical restrictions.
