Welding Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Welding Engineer to take ownership of our welding processes—leading innovation, ensuring quality, and driving continuous improvement across the business. What You’ll Own Development and qualification of welding procedures (WPS/PQR) for consistent, high-quality results Compliance with ASME Section IX, AWS, and applicable industry standards Welding process improvement efforts focused on efficiency, cost, and defect reduction Evaluation and implementation of robotic and automated welding technologies Technical leadership in metallurgy, weld quality, and troubleshooting Cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams Training and development of welding talent across the organization Support of audits, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives What You Bring 7+ years of welding engineering experience in manufacturing or fabrication Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX and AWS welding standards Experience with TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and stainless steel applications Proven track record developing WPS/PQRs and supporting certifications Background in metallurgy, weld distortion, and defect analysis Ability to lead technical projects and influence cross-functional teams Why Apache?
