Inventory Control Clerk

Inventory Control Clerk The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory. This position reports to the Inventory Control Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating inventory records, creating efficient and accurate inventory management procedures, performing daily activities necessary to maintain effective inventory management procedures, reconciling inventories to book records and making adjustments when necessary, coordinating the annual physical inventory procedures, recommending programs to improve the management of inventory, planning and implementing a recoup program to ensure all damaged/defective product is accounted for and properly handled, supervising the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, conducting searches to locate products within the system, adjusting records when there are discrepancies between actual product and records, ensuring corrective measures to prevent discrepancies, developing a program to audit returns and move returned product to its proper location, processing documentation to generate a prompt credit transaction, performing weekly cycle counts and adjusting systems as necessary, developing a program to maintain tight security over the inventory, maintaining accurate inventory records to help facilities shortage detection, maintaining confidentiality of inventory records to authorized personnel, developing all necessary reports and documentation to facilitate accurate inventory counts including records of all audits, counts and adjustments, completing and issuing all necessary records and reports including filing invoices and maintaining customer records in a timely and accurate fashion, communicating and coordinating with customers regarding timing of physical inventories, coordinating with Customer Service Representatives, Supervisors, and Warehouse Supervisors to establish cut-off dates, and performing duties as instructed by management. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED required, at least 1 year experience in a similar position, computer applications experience using MS Office, excellent oral and written communications skills, excellent analytical and mathematical skills, excellent customer service skills, ability to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations, ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, no issues with heights, lift and move totes up to 50 pounds, regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head, and ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including weekends holidays as needed by the customer.
