Angelo’s is a new Italian restaurant opening in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Our food will be rooted in Italian tradition, exceptional ingredients, disciplined technique, and thoughtful execution. We are creating a refined dining experience that feels polished without losing its warmth or sense of welcome.
We are seeking skilled and motivated Line Cooks to join our opening culinary team. The ideal candidate works with urgency and precision, communicates well, and understands the consistency required in a professional kitchen. We are looking for cooks who respect the craft, care about the details, and want to grow alongside a strong culinary team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station
• Prepare and execute menu items according to recipes and chef specifications
• Maintain consistency in seasoning, cooking, portioning, and presentation
• Communicate clearly with chefs, expediters, and fellow cooks during service
• Work with focus, urgency, and composure in a high-volume environment
• Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures
• Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products
• Monitor product quality and communicate shortages or concerns promptly
• Assist with daily preparation, station breakdown, and closing procedures
• Participate in menu education, training, and opening-team development
QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous line-cook experience in a professional kitchen is preferred
• Fine-dining or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques and station organization
• Ability to follow recipes and execute dishes consistently
• Clear communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Willingness to receive feedback and continue learning
• Dependable attendance and professional conduct
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds
