Registered Nurse (RN) – Integrative & Direct Primary Care

Location: Gessling Family Wellness Columbia and Macon MO

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our clinical team, providing compassionate patient care while supporting the daily operations of our growing practice. This role requires someone who is highly organized, adaptable, and able to balance multiple priorities while ensuring every patient feels welcomed, heard, and cared for.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a Direct Primary Care setting.
• Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient education.
• Perform phlebotomy and administer IV vitamin and wellness infusions.
• Prepare and monitor patients receiving integrative therapies.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, supplements, and wellness recommendations.
• Coordinate patient care while maintaining efficient patient flow.
• Manage multiple treatment schedules simultaneously.
• Schedule appointments and assist with patient communications.
• Monitor and maintain medical and office inventory, ensuring supplies are stocked and organized.
• Assist with front desk responsibilities when needed, including answering phones, checking patients in and out, collecting payments, and scheduling appointments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment.
• Collaborate effectively with team members working across multiple clinic locations.
• Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Identify problems proactively and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Support the clinic's mission by contributing wherever needed to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

Required

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Missouri.
• Strong phlebotomy and IV insertion skills.
• Experience using Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Proficiency with basic computer applications and technology.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Preferred

• Experience in primary care, family practice, functional medicine, integrative medicine, or wellness clinics.
• Familiarity with IV nutrient therapy or wellness infusions.
• Interest in holistic, preventive, and lifestyle-based healthcare.
