Overview
Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, travel assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. Start 09/24/2026 for 4 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,198–$2,345. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). Work setting: hospital Med/Surg Tele unit with potential ED Hold coverage and unit float to related tele units as needed.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult Med Surg Tele patients, including Oncology, Orthopedics, and Urology populations, on assigned tele units
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, manage IV therapies and IV pumps, and perform bladder scans as needed
- Perform routine and required assessments, monitor glucose, obtain blood draws (including from central lines when applicable), and interpret evolving clinical data
- Document nursing care accurately in the electronic medical record; communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with ED Hold coverage and float to other Tele units as assigned; participate in care planning, discharge planning, and patient education
- Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and unit-specific protocols; assist with prioritization and flow during busy shifts

Requirements
- Active New York RN license on submission; license must be on file at start
- BLS certification; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required prior to starting
- CMSRN certification preferred; EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; minimum 1 year in Med Surg Tele
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float to ED Hold and other Tele units as needed
- Must start within the next 7 days; no time off approved for CRU/crisis needs
