Our mission is to create an environment where people are empowered to improve processes, grow their expertise, and see the direct impact of their contributions on the products we deliver.What You Will DoOversee the assembly of focal plane arrays and optical components from design implementation through shipment.Provide engineering support for manufacturing operations, including interpreting engineering drawings and specifications into build plans.Create and maintain bills of materials, process flow travelers, and work instructions.Develop and implement assembly planning and tooling concepts to support production.Manage process and tooling activities, review and disposition defective materials, and lead problem-solving efforts and corrective actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineering, to ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and performance standards.Support first article inspections to ensure hardware meets all program quality requirements.Work in a semiconductor cleanroom environment wearing full coverall garments and adhering to cleanroom principles.Lead projects and contribute as part of an Integrated Product Team to meet program goals.Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience.Engineering Experience.U.S. Citizen - the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. Qualifications We PreferExperience with wet etch, metal-lift off, lithography, plasma cleaning or associated semiconductor processing equipment. Experience with II-VI and III-V or other compound semiconductor processing. Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Project). Working knowledge of military and commercial manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Design for Manufacturability, Six Sigma and statistical techniques.Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work as part of an Integrated Product Team.   Able to relay concepts for tooling design, and design for manufacturability to design functions. Knowledge of creating assembly planning and work instructions. Experience with semiconductor cleanroom work environment and principles. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
