Senior Accounting Consultant

DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant in Washington, DC.Duties:* Accounting Consultant will be responsible for month end accounting close process* Performing continued analysis around performance of assigned expenses and balance sheet accounts* As an Accounting Consultant, you will be overseeing the variances and reconciliations in the general accounting area* Providing technical assistance* Providing strategic reportsRequirements* BS in Accounting with 5 or more years of accounting experience (with at least 3 years financial reporting experience)* An excellent technical foundation in accounting and finance with an understanding and thorough knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)* The ability to communicate with all levels of management and a basic understanding of the other functional issues and problems related to the other disciplines* CPA license, MBA, or serious CPA, MBA candidate preferredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
