Supervisory Responsibilities None Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include the following; other duties may be assigned) Maintain all standards regarding sanitation, food preparation, and storage. Scrape food from dirty dishes. Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and trays by hand or place them in racks for the dishwashing machine. Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in their correct place. Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks. Remove trash and garbage within the main kitchen and place it in designated containers during and at the end of shift. Sweep and mop kitchen floors. Maintain dry storage area, walk‑in cooler, and main kitchen floors. Maintain the dumpster area and keep the dock clean. Required Skills and Abilities Customer service Good listening, comprehension, and communication skills Ability to understand and follow directions Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence Ability to remain alert and focused in a noisy and fast‑paced environment Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff Detail‑oriented and thorough Education Requirements Entry‑level position with on‑the‑job training. Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures helpful but not necessary.
