Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Steubenville, OH Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Sep 05, 2026 Ongoing Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri; 7a-5p Call Schedule: Night call: 5p-7a; Weekends: 24-hour call 7a-7a Call Type: Beeper Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered Average Daily Volume: Inpatient 4-6, Clinic 10-12 Rounding: Included Case Mix: Cardiac (CABG), Thoracic, Vascular EMR System: Meditech Support Staff Available: PA, NP, MA, Office Supervisor Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: ASAP (expedited) Required Procedures: CABG, Thoracic surgery; Vascular procedures (preferred but not required) Job Requirements: Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible Licenses: Active Ohio Medical License Certifications: ACLS Duties & Responsibilities: Round on inpatients on the Cardiothoracic Surgery service daily. Be on call for emergent procedures, responding within required timeframe. Perform CABG and thoracic surgeries as needed. Conduct clinic visits (10-12 patients) when covering for regular surgeon. Manage inpatient census of 4-6 patients and coordinate care with support staff.
