Staff Accountant (Mountain America Expo Center)

: POSITION: Staff Accountant DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager FLSA STATUS: Salary/Exempt Summary ASM Global, a leader in managing public assembly facilities, is seeking an Accountant for the Salt Palace Convention Center & Mountain America Exposition Center. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role is instrumental in maintaining financial integrity through reconciliations, managing assets, and participating in the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in accounting practices, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. Occasional travel between the two locations within Salt Lake County may be required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Invoice Creation: Efficiently produce advance deposit and settlement invoices, along with other financial documents as required.
• Balance Sheet Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of balance sheet accounts, actively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Bank Reconciliation: Conduct thorough reconciliation of bank statements with general ledger accounts to guarantee precise transaction recording.
• Event Accounting Projects: Oversee the setup and management of accounting projects for events, focusing on accurate revenue and expense tracking.
• Financial Statement Analysis: Prepare detailed notes and explanations for items in monthly financial statements.
• Policy and Procedure Development: Support the creation and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures.
• Additional Responsibilities: Engage in various other duties and special projects as needed.

Experience & Knowledge

• Educational Qualifications: Candidates should be pursuing or have obtained a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. We value the fresh perspective of recent graduates.

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, In-Office/Hybrid Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 Schedule: Monday-Friday, Flexible Start/End Times, Occasional Weekend Availability Required Benefits
