Die Maker Trainee Opportunity
Ready to develop a rewarding career in precision manufacturing? We are actively seeking a motivated die maker trainee to join a family-owned company in Saint Paul. This hands-on apprenticeship opportunity is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy building, troubleshooting, and working with precision equipment. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM Wage: $19 - $21/hr.

Duties of the die maker trainee:
- Assist in the construction and assembly of steel rule dies using manual and automated equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production drawings
- Operate hand tools and stationary power equipment safely and effectively
- Learn CNC machine setup, operation, and basic programming concepts
- Perform measurements and inspections using calipers, scales, tape measures, and other precision tools
- Maintain accurate production records and job documentation
- Support quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Meet production goals and participate in ongoing skill development programs
Requirements of the die maker trainee:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic math skills in arithmetic and geometry
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, CNC machining, welding, fabrication, or trade school coursework is highly beneficial
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
