Key Requirements Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program Completion of nursing fundamentals with clinical component required Willingness to travel to all East Region locations (including Illinois) Ability to adapt quickly and provide compassionate, patient-centered care in new environments Must submit end-of-term grades and upcoming school schedule to remain active Targeted start date: 11/30, 12/14 or 1/11 Initial 3-week full-time training commitment required to support your success in the role before transitioning to the regular schedule. Role Purpose Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health. Responsibilities Assists nurse with patient and family education. Documents all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology. Acts as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary. Ensures availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs. Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nursing team. Collects clinical data and information on patients and reports abnormal findings to the nurse. Instructs patients in preparations for tests and procedures.
