Systems Engineer

Technical Leadership PositionProvides technical leadership for the Consulting and System Integration engineering staff across Associated's three divisional offices in Indianapolis, IN, Warrenville, IL and Inver Grove Heights, MN. Supports customer-facing sales staff by leading solution design efforts through evaluating customer requirements, creating value-added material handling solutions and developing project costs. Leads project implementation efforts by working with customers and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on schedule and on budget. Assists in data collection and data interpretation for general application analysis.Salary starts at 97K and pays based on experience.Essential Functions:Provides technical leadership for the department in conjunction with the Engineering ManagerDisplays technical expertise in design and implementationDevelops warehousing storage and automation solutions and creates appropriate drawingsCreates bills of material and determines project costsPerforms effective project management during implementationMaintains a strong working knowledge of current product and service offerings throughout the marketSupports proposal generation and sales processes led by customer facing sales staff, as requiredAccompanies sales staff on sales calls to provide technical expertisePerforms related duties as assigned or as the situation dictatesReasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Required Qualifications:Expertise in conventional and automated warehousing/distribution solutions, including conveyor systems, AS/RS, AGVs, and mobile rackingStrong communication skills for collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and permitting authoritiesDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlinesProven attention to detail in project planning and executionProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and ProjectEffective written and verbal communication skills for professional correspondence and presentationsDemonstrated sound judgment, reasoning, and advanced analytical problem-solving abilitiesStrong interpersonal skills with consistent follow-up and follow-throughExperience analyzing data and translating findings into actionable customer solutionsUp to 20% travelPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology and a minimum of 5 years of material handling experience
